Privacy policy

1What we collect

We count visits, so we know whether anyone is finding this. When you load a page, our own server writes one line: which page, which country and state or region, how you arrived (a search engine, a link from another site, or straight to the address), whether the request came from a phone or a computer, and whether it looked like a person or a crawler.

Inside the designer itself, the app reports a few moments of its own: that you opened it, that you changed something, that your design grew past a first cabinet, that you opened your build plans, and whether you printed them or downloaded the cut sheet or the design file. It also reports how long you have been actively working, in rough steps (half a minute, two minutes, five, fifteen, thirty), and it stops counting while the tab is in the background or you have stopped touching it. Each of those is one line carrying the name of the moment and nothing more.

None of these lines are joined to each other. We cannot tell that the visit which opened the designer is the visit that printed something; we only ever see how many did each. They are counts, not a record of what you did.

No line includes your IP address, your city, your full browser fingerprint, or anything that separates you from anyone else in your country. There is no cookie and no identifier of any kind, so we cannot tell a returning visitor from a new one. That is the trade we chose, and it is why you have never seen a cookie banner here. The counting happens on our own server; nothing is loaded from a third party and the numbers are not shared with one.

2Where your designs live

Projects are stored in your browser's local database (IndexedDB) on your device, first and always. If you create an account and sign in, each project is also copied to your account's private storage, a database row tied to your email, for exactly one purpose: showing you your own projects when you sign in on another machine. Nobody reads your designs, nothing analyzes their contents, deleting a project deletes the copy, and deleting your account deletes everything, immediately.

An account is an email address and nothing more: no name, no password (a six-digit code is emailed each time you sign in), no payment card held by us. Sign-in codes are delivered by our email provider (Resend); account and project storage run on our database provider (Supabase); each sees only what its job requires, and neither is given anything to track you with. Session sign-in state lives in your browser's local storage, not a cookie; there is still no cookie banner because there are still no cookies.

You can export any project as a file and re-import it, download everything you have from the account menu, and delete the account, with everything in it, from the same menu. Clearing your browser's site data deletes your local copies and signs you out.

3If you email us or send feedback

Writing to support@woodprint.app gives us your email address and whatever you include. We use it to reply, and for nothing else.

The feedback button inside the app sends us what you wrote, which screen you were on, and an email address only if you leave one. It can also carry a copy of the design you were working on, so we can open exactly what you saw when something looks wrong. That copy is included only while its checkbox stays checked, it is the same file the export button hands you, and we use it to investigate your report and for nothing else.

4What will change at launch

A paid subscription (processed by Stripe) is planned; it will land with an update to this policy first. The effective date above always reflects the current version.
